Earlier this year we reported on the award to the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys of the Royal Charter, paving the way for the rebrand to the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and the use of the term Chartered Trade Mark Attorney by members.
The official Great Seal has now been received and so today, 24 November 2016, marks the launch of The Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys, an important milestone marking the culmination of years of hard work from the Institute’s Committee to gain this important status for the profession.
Using a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney to undertake your trade mark work provides you with assurance that you are using a specially trained professional, who has undertaken extensive training and qualification in the field of trade mark law, and who is regulated by the professions regulatory body, the Intellectual Property Regulation Board.
